Eliminating manual handling and repositioning of Wireline lubricators for safer, faster and more controlled toolstring change-outs.
InterGuide™
The InterGuide™ is a first-of-its-kind system designed to remove the handling, and support the rotation and positioning of, the Wireline lubricator during intervention activities.
Its entirely mechanical, non-hydraulic functionality provides you with a simple, robust, and user-friendly intervention device that de-risks interventions, reduces downtime, and helps achieve significant OPEX savings.
CHALLENGING CONVENTION FOR SAFER WIRELINE OPERATIONS
Traditional methods for handling heavy 2–3-tonne Wireline lubricators typically involve the use of ropes, strops, and manual effort from personnel. This practice poses significant safety risks, exposing crews to suspended loads, dropped object hazards, and the potential for back, hand, and finger injuries.
Additionally, damaging the connection O-rings during the stabbing process is a common issue, often resulting in otherwise avoidable non-productive time (NPT).The InterGuide™ system eliminates the need for manual lubricator handling and positioning, significantly reducing the risk to both personnel and equipment. It enables faster, safer tool change-outs, enhancing operational efficiency, minimising downtime, and contributing to lower operating expenses (OPEX).

HOW IT WORKS
When the tugger line lifts the Wireline lubricator, the InterGuide™ rises with it by 31 inches, enabling the toolstring to be clamped at the Quick Test Sub (QTS) and disconnected safely.
An additional 18-inch lift automatically rotates the InterGuide™ 90° to the left, moving the lubricator aside without the need for manual rope pulling or physical repositioning.
The Wireline crew then proceeds with tool change-outs following standard operating procedures. Once complete, the lubricator is lowered and automatically rotated back into position for reconnection to the QTS.
The InterGuide™ operates without the need for hydraulics or powered systems, offering a simple, robust solution that eliminates the risks associated with manual handling. It integrates seamlessly into a wide range of intervention operations and environments, including platform drill floors, Wireline mast-equipped intervention decks, and semi-submersible rigs, requiring minimal setup and no modifications to additional methods.
